Halloween at Gardner Village

FINALLY something to blog about!

Today I took half a day off work and took my nieces to Gardner Village for their annual Witch Fest, today was the actual Witches Night Out, the girls loved seeing "real" witches.  We had lots of treats and Kennedy got to get Glitter Eyes.  We had a great time walking around and enjoying the atmosphere.  We took lots of pictures because the girls kept asking me to take their pictures with this and that.  Enjoy!

6 YEARS!!!

Today marks our 6th year anniversary!  Holy cow... I really can't believe it's ALREADY been 6 years, but some days it feels like 10.  A few months into dating Austin I knew I'd marry him (Amy L. can vouch for me on that)!  These past years have been some of the craziest most happiest years of my life and I can't wait for many more to come.  I love you babe!!!

Losing my mind.

Holy cow.  The wedding is still 8 months away and I am already in a panic!  We have the venue, the dress, the caterer, the decor, the rings... but everything we DON'T have is really starting to get to me.  My OCD is really starting to set in.  Anyway, this is the reason to my blogging absents, well, that and the fact I don't have much access to a proper working computer...   Plus Austin and I have both been extremely busy with work (him more so...)

I have a bunch of things to post, but my mom's computer has decided to hate me so I only have access to a few pictures.

We, as always, enjoyed a BBQ at my Mom's house with the family and we were excited that we got watch fireworks from Sugarhouse Park... even though the dogs all hated it!

Last weekend we had a little engagement celebration... oh boy was it fun!

We had yummy snow cones, lots of treats and enjoyed the cool pool!

Lately...

I have been thinking of ideas on how to re-create this sign I saw on a blog, theirs was cuter and better but mine turned out fine.  Kind of fun.  Just for practice... 

What else have we been up to?  WORK.

We did actually get to hang out at Paxsten's 1st Birthday...  I cannot tell you how CUTE this little guy, Austin and I just love him to pieces!  

Then I got to relive some 1980's "Throwback Prom" with some girls from the office...

Yeah, I look like crap and I wasn't in the correct attire.  I was the photographer, I had to "blend" in!  :) Plus we were supposed to be doing awkward posses...  I think I am the only one that heard that part.  Oh well!

Me...become a RASMUSSEN???

I said... YES!  

That's right, Austin FINALLY proposed! After nearly six years of dating he popped the question! :)

{Sorry for the odd display, but this was all I could get at this hour.}

Yes, this is the only picture we really got of us while there and yes, the ring is on the wrong finger and yes, Austin's eyes aren't open... completely.  I was totally caught up in the moment and threw that beauty on the wrong hand.  Oh well, we figured it out later... this was both our first time, what more could you expect?

You're next question I am sure is, how did he propose?  Well, here it is.
Austin's little brother, Alex, his girlfriend's birthday is on Monday, so he asked me to help out with this surprise dinner in the park for the two of them.  Of course I was more then willing to help, he asked me to go to the Cheesecake Factory and to Spaghetti Factory to pick up their dinner and dessert.  After running around I get to Murray park and he already had a cute little table set up for the two of them with flowers and rose petals.  He asked me to get her dinner all ready for her, so I start taking it apart when I feel a tap on my shoulder, I turn around and there was Austin on his knee, "Will you marry me?"... I think the first words from my mouth was, 'Is this a JOKE?'... this was for Amanda, not me!  I didn't believe it!  I still don't!  It was so cute!  Of course, after he told me he was serious and I started believing him, I said YES!
I was in on the whole thing and had NO CLUE!  That was exactly what I wanted!  He knew it and he pulled it off!

GOOD JOB BABE!  I can't wait to begin our lives together!

Memorial Day weekend 

Austin and I got to go camping with his Dad & Step Mom... we didn't have great weather so we hung out in the trailer a lot (plus I got sick, so I was sleeping most of that time).  When it was nice out we got to go 4-Wheeling, fly fishing and played with guns.

HELP WANTED!

We need to get this condo sold, ASAP! I think we need design to sell or something, I tried to capture pictures... I am asking, HONESTLY asking... What can we do to make this place more appealing, I think it is mainly these 3 rooms... we need your suggestions people! HELP... or tell your friends! :)

On a side note, the Making Memories sale was awesome. Minus the hour plus wait in line I wish I could have back...

Yes, he has become quite fond of my camera... whenever I am outside trying to photograph different things just to practice, Colt is always wanting to be center of attention. I don't blame him... he is pretty cute and the camera loves him back. :)

Happenings of the week...

Austin's older brother & his wife, Aaron and Tesa, had a baby a while ago. Everleigh was blessed on Sunday, it was my first time meeting her, so of course I had to snap a picture, or 7...

Alex, my youngest baby brother got asked and went to Prom all in the same week...
Lyndsi, Austin's friend from elementary school who lives in St. George came to Salt Lake for a baby shower, so we tried showed her a good time...
This morning we got to do the MS Walk, in honor of Austin. It was an amazing turn out.

Well, it's over and we survived.  

Trails we did Fins & Things, Flat Iron Mesa & Steel Bender.  I was the groups photographer... I had fun snapping shots and playing with my new fish eye lens.  Here's a couple shots of our adventures...

... the hanging thing, the lower control arm which made the rest of the way back to camp miserable, not only because the way the Jeep handled.  We were ready to get home, it was a long day we were running on hardly any sleep because it was so windy and we were all on edge.  We had fun, but we were also glad to be home and get some sleep.
